Hello, my name is Rick Wattras and I'm currently the Director of Integration for a healthcare-focused cloud-hosting compliance and integration company called Datica.

On the side, I dabble in web and mobile development as a hobby and am always eager to learn about the latest tech news and programming languages.

Other Interests

In addition to my dev-related interests, I'm also a musician who has been playing the guitar for 17 years and have written a number of original songs. I also enjoy a wide variety of music, though currently my Spotify playlist is dominated by Sufjan Stevens and Gregory Alan Isakov.

I'm a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins and have been playing ice hockey myself for 12 years.However, soccer has been a lifelong pursuit and passion, and for those familiar I follow the Arsenal Gunners (and all you Chelsea fans can get right out).

I have a very long 'to-read' list, but I'm currently thumbing through Fyodor Dostoevsky's "The Brothers Karamazov" and Robert Jordan’s “The Great Hunt”.

The same can be said about video games, of which I'm currently playing 'The Outer Worlds', 'The Division 2', and 'Uncharted 4'.

I've been an avid homebrewer for a few years now and am constantly trying to hone my craft with new recipes. Although I've since moved back to my hometown of Pittsburgh, I spent the prior seven years in the great beer town of Madison, WI which allowed for a lot of inspiration.
